Automata are projects that somehow involve motion and generally involving wood (although could involve other materials and even technology). Typically an automata creation involves a crank that you turn by hand and something fun happens! Great project for developing design skills, woodworking craftsmanship, creativity, and problem solving! Definitely not easy...
