Small Box

Pine Jewellery Box

For this project you will make a small jewellery box out of thin (about 8 mm thick) pine.

• Length and Width of finished box: 10 cm long, 6 cm wide
• Height: 8 cm (approx)
• Bottom and top must fit flush with sides (not above or below - see example).
• Rip cuts and mitre cuts on Bandsaw.

Design

The overall length/width and joinery (how pieces connected) of your box must be exactly as described (see picture and sketchup model below).

However, you WILL need to adapt the design to figure out a way to keep the lid from falling into the box. You will need to provide a design for this before starting the jewellery box project.
