Google Translate

Some websites have built-in translation services (such as this one - see the footer) to easily and automatically translate all pages of a website to your preferred language. However, even if a website does not offer automatic translation, it is easy to have the page translated for you. This is particularly handy when filling out assignments on Google Forms or in D2L.

Here are the steps:

  1. Make sure you are using Google Chrome.
  2. Bring up the context menu on a page you want translated (two finger click on a laptop touchpad OR ctrl key + mouse click on mac OR right mouse click on Windows.)
  3. You will get the following menu. Choose the 'Translate To ...' option and choose your preferred language!

Once you have defined a translation language, Chrome will now have a translate button on the right side of the address bar (see image). Click on the translate icon to have the page translated to your current language settings.
